To quote the late, great James Brown

This class is going to be a new topic that Tyler from Red Rokk turned me onto, Edgerank. The interesting thing is Edgerank is a pretty controversial idea these days, because some people think it’s dead. So if it’s dead, why are we talking about it and what is it anyway?

Edgerank is what Facebook at one time called the algorithm that decides what appears in your Newsfeed. Kind of like Google with their Pandas, Hummingbirds and KitKats. Here it is as explained by Batman (srsly).

One of the interesting things for me, is that I first started hearing about all of this last year thanks to Dallas Mavericks owner, Mark Cuban.
